Bingkang gandum

I did it, I did it! again, but after a long while. I made a traditional malay kuih, bingkang gandum.Made this bingkang yesterday evening. i've always liked this kuih , a recipe which I got from my neighbour who has moved to a new house but somehow we still see each other, in fact we went for a body massage last Saturday together.that felt good, haven't had a good massage for quite a long time. My masseuse, from china , must be using the chinese massage techinques.

very simple recipe, let's see if I can remember it withour referring to my recipe book:
Bingkang gandum
3/4 cup sugar
1 3/4 cup flour
3 eggs
2 tbs butter
4 cups coconut milk
a pinch of salt,
vanilla essence
mix all and pour it into my 9" round pan and bake for 45 minutes to 1 hour in a 175 degrees preheated oven.
the smell, the aroma reached upstairs when I was watching the astro channel while waiting for it to bake.smells soooo gooood......perhaps I will try to make kuih ketayap next.....
willie, enjoying his mornings with me, when all my kids are at school. It'd be a different story once the kids are back from school, he won't get his 'peace' no more, he ain't....

he always follows me around. when I go out to water the plant, he would come out too, when I went inside, he followed, even when I was writing or typing, he would come infront of me and stepping on the keyboard, flashing his bushy tail to my face or snuggled closely and made purring sound, just to get my attention. he won't have to do that with the kids home, he would get lots...plenty of attention from them, I can tell you.....

willie..striking a pose ...

saw these striking red bunga kertas this morning after I had finished watering the plants.
