woke up this moning and saw this 'bouquet' on the table in my little 'office'. sooo sweeet and beautiful. Why didn't I think of this before, so easy, so simple and yet so beautiful.Thank you dear

Another carrot walnut cake please, plus another....

delivered these two this morning, after I sent off my daughters to school. It was not far from my house, just around the corner, in the " Kompleks Pendidikan" area, to one of the schools there,

carrot walnut cake with cream cheese frosting similar to the one she ordered last Thursday,

only this time she asked me to cut them in slices for her

plus an additional cake, and this time I made her the plain bake cheesecake

and topped with blueberries filling

cut into slices too.

the crunchiness and chocolateyness made them wanting more...

these innocent looking, not so round cookies filled with chocolate chips and walnuts, with its crunchiness and sweet tantalising aroma has captured the heart of this lady's sons . she just ordered four jars last week and made another order again for three jars this week.

Sesungguhnya Allah dan MalaikatNya berselawat ke atas Nabi Muhammad s.a.w.. Marilah kita sama-sama berselawat sambil beristirehat di samping keularga tersayang.

This morning is the opposite to yesterday's "Morning Madness " and I am going to call it "Morning calmness" as calm as the green leaves on the fence with just a peek of the flowers which will bloom soon.

started my morning with the laundry in the machine and while waiting for it

I swept up the dry leaves and who else to accompany me if not our Lily who at any available chance would come out of the house to the little garden ( pantang pintu terbukak, dia mesti nak keluar )

two flowers, the early ones, the rest would soon follow.......and soon there'll be reds, pinks and white flowers everywhere

felt like washing this car since I am already watering the plants, why not 'water' the car too!

this Alfa is as old as our son, that would make it almost fourteen years old, not bad looking for a 14 year old car.....:-) still going strong, still giving us the oomph driving it around, so much memories, we tried to let it go a few times but we just couldn't part with it......yet.....

looks like the machine has stopped, better finish my chores and soon, to start with lunch.

kelas on sunday

ini student mana pulak ni......eh.. kek tiga segi?

After a few mintes of ice breaking session, we made our way into my little kitchen to start on today's class. That day was Sunday not the usual Friday since both of them were only avai lable on Sunday. Any day is good for me cos I am at home 24/7

A little intoduction to fondant in this class to make it more fun, rather than just using buttercream as the deco

out of the blue, I feel blue, just like Gary Moore's song, "Still got the blues"

and what a co-incidence, my partner in this dance is a fan of Gary Moore.

one of the many dances that I performed that night. this is called "joget" and I did inang, lilin, zapin, boria and endang too! Not just me, I think we ( these four ladies ) all did, the same faces, with different costumes and dance steps. it was fun!

since I am still feeling blue, don't feel like writing much................

blue and white for engagement hantaran

similar to the one I made "purple and white" which was bound for Tanjung Malim, as requested by Yanie

this set was for her brother's engagement ceremony held in langkawi

rezeki Yanie, made this for someone else but it was written and meant for her, and the sms which I received the following day, on my way back to Kelantan,

"sedapnya marble cheese cake (brownies) kak zue buat.....sgt marbeles....."

thank you Yanie. This is the lady who ordered her two tiered wedding cake plus MCB for hantaran in May 2009. When she returned the tier, she came with her other half and off they went to start their new life as married couple in KL.More than a year later, she came , no longer the two of them, but the three of them, 2 + 1 baby boy.congrats Yanie, may your marriage with K, be blessed with more cute babies.

This was my first time experimenting with this rainbow cake, I had no clue how it would turn out but I hoped and prayed that it would turn out beautifully, ( taste wise and look wise ) and Alhamdulillah, from the feedback and response that I received from the birthday boy's mum, it was very encouraging and very satisfying, both on her part and later, mine....

She mentioned in her email that she wanted a colourful cake for her son's birthday but if I couldn't do it, she would settle for the usual chocolate moist cake. Having read her e-mail and seen the sample photo attached, immediately this rainbow cake came to mind. I had seen it on the net and I thot I'd give it a try. It would be suitable for a kid's birthday cake, it would wow ( I hope )the guests when they cut the cake and discovered the beautiful rainbow layers inisde it

for this cake, a special kind of buttercream , called Swiss meringue buttercream , is used as fillings in between the layers , instead of using lots and lots of butercream as suggested in the original recipe, I decided to do the opposite, firstly because I wasn't sure what my friend's reaction would be, secondly, it is kinda sweet to my tastebud and I was afraid, that it would be too sweet for them too,

the original recipe didn't use fondant, instead , the cake was covered with the swiss meringue buttercream , but here I had to cover it with fondant because I was going to poke the cookie "glee" sticks on the cake

colourful cake, inside and outside, fit for a seven year old and to ad to the merriness and joyfulness of the occasion was the pictures of all the 'GLEE' characters on the cookies stick, specially ordered from Penang ( the images mean), cookie is home made from Zue's Oven.

Thank you Sharina for trusing me yet again with another special person in your life with their birthday cake and giving me a new challenge (again!, previously it was the red velvet camera lens cake) and this time this colourful rainbow cake.

There is always a first time for everything , first kiss, first hello, first touch, and the first would lead to second, third and so on and the pleasure continues, the pleasure of making, the pleasure of giving, the pleasure of receiving, the pleasure and satisfaction of knowing that I had made someone, very happy. I really enjoyed making this cake , and it is always a pleasure dealing with this sweet and nice English teacher, whose husband is such a pro in photography and hence the beautiful photos.

To the birthday boy, may you always be a bundle of joy and hapiness to your parents and menjadi anak yang soleh insyaAllah.
