MARIE, THE ARISTOKITTEN AND BATRISYTIA'S ARTZOOKA

The MCB, i baked. it was an order frlom a friend, for her daughter's birthday.Her hubby, her other daughter, and now  this daughter, MCB, MCB and MCB, they are real MCB fans and I am not complaining cos it is one of the easiest and fastest to make.Even, if you call in the morning for it, you can pick it up in the afternoon or evening, provided of course I am at home to do it and I am not too busy with something else......hehe.....

The deco, from the blossom flowers to the two cut out kitten, and the bling bling, all done by batrisyia, with a little touch up here and there from me , of course, but she did nearly 100% of the deco

first, she cut out the blossoms, layered them, then the alphabets, she then arranged all these cutout on the cake board, the same size as the MCB to see if the deco fit the actual size of the MCB.After getting the green light from me, she then transferred all the deco on to the MCB itself and wallah!!!!! Thank you Batrisyia for assisting Mama and thank yo Ita for this order, happy birthday to sweet Auni Marrisa.

BEN 10 drawn on fondant ( instead of edible image due to last minute order) and placed on top of MCB for anak teruna sue's 8th birthday. thank you sue and Happy 8th birthday Hariz, semoga menjadi anak yang soleh.

red velvet before 'make-up'

red velvet- covered with cream cheese and with swirly deco ala ala deco on MCB with 'mouthful' wordings as per Sue's request. This is another Sue, a birthday cake for her hubby, plus another order for a purple and white basket hamper to be picked up the next day or two. thank you Sue!

Happy Birthday BOSS " were written on both the MCB and BWW

I was in the middle of cleaning the crabs for the Spicy and SOur Crab dish that I planned to cook for lunch when suddenly she apppeared in my kitchen.

She had called many times but did not receive any reply from me, something was definitely wrong with my phone that day for heard nothing, no ringing tone, no SMS tones, I couldn't call or text out and that prompted her to come over, to order these two for that evening!

So, in between cooking, I started melting the butter for the BWW first and once it was in the oven, I started with the MCB and fortunately they were ready on time. thank you Azira for always remembering me and for your continuous support.

My first 2D Minnie Mouse on a MCB, for Ita's Auni Marissa's one year birthday.Beautiful name. I remember the first time we got to know each other, she called me to order MCB, which she had tasted it thru a friend, but I didn't get to meet her because she was in confinement at that time, giving birth to this birhday girl. time sure flies, and the baby is now one year old, despite the short period of knowing each other but, she's a very friendly person, nice dealing with you Ita and wishing baby Auni Marissa, a happy first birthday and may she always be a bundle of joy to her parents.

MU cake it wasn't, because it's last minute....

Azira ordered this for her son Aiman's 9th birthday on Maal Hijrah public holiday around noon, when I was making my gumpaste roses, and collected it around 8 pm .
Zira tld me that her son would have wanted 'M.U' cake but sorry dear, no MU or Red Devils or Gunners or Ben 10 for any last minute order! hehe.... and his mum knows better! the only one available ( brownies with walnut is easy and fast to prepare too ) and yet scrumptious was the MCB

MCB with buttercream border

I don't normally use buttercream decor as the border design for my MCB but I thought I 'll use it for this one since it represented a birthday cake from a husband to his wife and from the kids for their "Ibu"

for Mama dearerst... The other day she came to collect the blueberry cheesetarts for her friend, and decided to order MCB for her mum whose birthday was on the 12th May (if I'm not mistaken) and since it is also Mothers Day, she decided to wish her both, Happy Birthday and Happy Mothers DAy.

Marble cheese brownies is chocolate brownies at the bottom with cheese topping . I received all sorts of comments and remarks on this MCB. Majority like it as it , for nut lovers, they wanted the base with lots of nuts instead and so I used 'Luxury brownies' recipe for the base ( with almonds, cashew and walnuts), for cheese lovers would prefer the toppping with more cheese. however, most like it as it is.

Why is it called 'marble'?Because the original version had a marble effect or design but just for the fun of it, I decided to make other designs and deco on it.Hence, the name remains but not the design.

I was on my way home from my MIL's house on Saturday when I received this phone call. the number looked familiar, after introducing himself, he told me that he wanted to order the MCB for a special someone's birthday on Monday.

I said yes, but the following day, hubby decided to go to Penang, to pay our very close and dear friends who came back from performing the Haj. we had been postponing the visit and he thought that today is a good day since it was a public holiday for Kedah and a rest day for Penang.We reached their house around 2.30 pm with D*min* Pizza waiting for us.Mind you we didn't have this here, everytime we felt like having it, we would either go to the island or to Seberang Prai just to satisfy the cravings for pepperoni on hand toasted pizza with extra cheese and chilli flakes.


It was so good seeing them, they shared their experiences and photos and some goodies, the dates, air zamzam, etc.etc.. brought back from the "tanah suci". we chatted and chatted and before we knew it, it was dark outside and we continued with nasi kandar for dinner.

Insyaallah, we hope that we will be able to perform our Haj while we are still strong and healthy. They presented us with a few souvenirs from there. Welcome back Haji Zaini and Hajjah Azah and thank you for the beautiful time that we had that day for both families.

Reached home at elevenish and close to midnite, took out the cream cheese from the fridge and started making this MCB.
Another one of my marble cheese brownies with very minimal design, just a birthday wish and flowers for the border, with a little bling bling.

Received the phone call while we were on the highway, on the way back from KL.
"Kak Zue, ada kek tak?"
ah.ah..no....why?
"Birthday ayah. Tini nak marble cheese brownies tu"
Petang sikit boleh?
"Kay, Tini ambik after ofis, around 6"
Done.
I therefore slept throughout the journey, nak simpan energy nak start baking the next day, while my son being the co-driver, to accompany the actual driver takut ngantuk drive sorang2.About 4 hours later, we arrived safely at our Hme Sweet Home. Alhamdulillah.

Sori lambat sikit apdet Tini, duk sibuk ngan 'macaroni au gratin'..yum yum yummy...

Luxury Marble Cheese Brownies - a new kid on the block

"I am in Kulim but I'd like to order this cake for my mama's birthday on 10th October, just like the one that I received from Kak Rose, only that I'd like the base to be made from nuts, lots and lots of nuts.'d like you to write " Happy birthday MAma" with the chantings and corak."

That was Safuan, one of the recipients of my 11+1 MCB, all the way in Kulim. If hew wanted MCB but with nuts, so I suggested that the base be made from Luxury Brownies because that one has walnuts, almonds and cashew nuts in it and I would still use the cream cheese at the top.So, I had just created a new version of brownies and I am going to call it " Luxury Marble Cheese Brownies"
From top it looks just like the normal MCB but when you cut it, then only you will see and taste the difference.

Sorry dear, I only make based on orders. But since I am a bit free today, I could make a simple and easy to make cake for you but she had to pick up slightly later this evening .It needed time to bake and to cool.





i received the call at 4 pm. The easiest that I could think of was the marble cheese brownies and I had all the ingrediens so by 4.30 pm it was already in the oven. i think it was sometime after six that her hubby came to collect it. It was still a bit warm though.
