How and what does it feel to be engaged? people say that during the engagement period, both the guy and the gal's blood is 'sweet'.....not literally sweet but this is the most testing period in their relationship. other people might want to interfere or 'kacau daun' with their fiance, the lady will look more beautiful and the guy will look more handsome or charming now, and if the feeling for each other is not strong, they might succumb to all the seduction, and the engagement might not lead to the marriage that they had hoped for, no happily ever after, no till death do us part, and no "Aku Terima nikahnya"...........
Being engaged also is not a ticket to allow both the female and the male to go out together freely without an escort,

being engaged is not a green light which allows them to go out together, walking together side by side, holding hands, but according to one ustaz, he said, that they can go out together,......how........

that way, the devil won't have any chance to whisper sweet nothing into each other, persuading them to do the unwanted., which could lead them to getting 'unwanted baby', Nauzubillah.

again, how does it feel? I don't know, i never got engaged. it was straight to "aku terima nikahnya" and we were legally married, after several years of dating.
for some, the engagement period is the period to get to know one another, is there any chemistry between them? can she accept his goodness and flaws at the same time, and vice versa. is she the right woman for him and is he , the right man for her?
Hopefully, it is, and that is what most engaged couple would hope for, the first step to the right direction .

Beetle oh Beetle....

Classic beauty......a head turner, a looker, by both the old and the young.

are they looking at 'it' or the person behind the wheel?Definitely the former, for she's a beauty, even though the model is from the 70s but it sure does beat the new models, it's compact, it's tough, rugged and it sure can beat a 'kancil' any day ....

most people underestimate its power, whenever they see this "kura kura", they would surely give a signal or making a sign to overtake her but oh no you don't, this beauty just let out her 'motor boat' roar, its distinct sound and off she goes, leaving them behind .....

I have been driving her these past few days, from taking the kids to school, to buying my eggs, cream cheese and butter, from fetching my son from the airport to meeting friends at the Karnivall Kahwin Kahwin at the Sultan Abdul Halim Stadium and also to attending to customer's wedding.

i am just relating one incident the other day, being an almost a warga emas myself......am i really that old?, keep forgetting things, I have this short memory loss of forgetting where I keep my things or what do I need to get from the kitchen , etc, etc...and on this particular day, I was supposed to send my daughter to her tuition center and I asked the kids to look for the car key for me for it is not in its normal place,

'Hurry up! We are already late, where's the car key? when I looked out, and noticed that the car was not there, it was not at its usual parking spot either , aik. no car key and now, no car? then I remembered hubby drove the car for its long overdue servicing.......
and so I took this key, with its Eiffel tower key chain, yup , my dream is to go to Paris one day..... and when I opened the gate and looked out the gate, my volks was nowhere in sight? %*^&@##??? What? how? why?

where's the car?Where's my old Beetle? i came back in and there she was, right where my hubby left it, in the 'porch' in its usual spot.OMG! What's got into me? age is sure creeping up on me!!

so, what's the moral of the story?

not much just, breathe in, breathe out, take it easy, jangan kelam kabut.....relax....take a deep breath.......and let go.........eeeeasssyyy..........

NICE BOX FOR NICE GIFT FOR NICE PEOPLE

and decorate the box with just a simple ribbon and a few matching flowers, and it fits to be presented to a friend or someone special.

It's been a busy, hectic and tiring week but it's worth it.......

These BWW ( brownies with walnut ) were destined to be in KL, together with 6 MCBs ( marble cheese brownies). the weekend started with these brownies plus a few more cakes, whilst baking them, my mind was trying to figure out the deco for the other MCB and BWW which would be going to KL too the following day, they would not be as simple and as straight forward as these ones because the theme was Dora and Diego, I had not done 3D figurine for either of them before. Seen and heard them on TV, thanx to my daughter Batrisyia, i knew these characters , i could draw them on paper but 3D? that was really challenging!

6 MCBs and 4 BWWs, boarded a bus going to Hentian Duta to my Srikandi friends.

thank you thank you all for the endless support, for enjoying them, be it for you or your loved ones, to be given to friends and clients, for makan2, or for birthdays, or in conjunction of a special day.

To be a singer, I don't have the voice, ( can sing in the toilet only )to be a model, I don't have the height, but to bake delicious ,scrumptious and yummilicious cakes, brownies, cheesecakes and cookies, insyaallah I am able to do them. Back ache? body ache? sleepless and restless nights, it's part and parcel of doing this but the result? It puts a smile on my face, if it puts a smile on the recipients' faces. The feedbacks and comments that I recieved either via phone calls or text messages just made up for all the pain, and the lack of sleep. would I do it again? and why not? over and over again I would..........:-)

just another day...doing her thing

using the internet as her teacher and guide to teach her to sketch, her fav character ( one of, actually, she has so many favourites from barbie to winx club to conan the detective)
after attending a kenduri in our taman, she continued with her sketch, a final touch up, a little shading here and there
and there you are, detective conan, 100% sketched and shaded by Batrisyia, an artist in the making..... I think.....
