A surprise but wonderful visit from a fellow baker

I am finally able to put a face to a name. i have known her for quite a while, to be exact since I started this baking and cake decorating craze. her name was mentioned to me by one of my customers. It was her teddies that brought me to her blog, and since then I always make a point to visit her blog as and when time permits.

Her creativity was captivating and her fluency in the English language just blew me away.several times I called or sms whenever I was in KL hoping to get to meet her in person but as it was not meant to be, we never had a chance until recently, on a clear and hot day in December when I received a simple text from her saying that she's in Alor Star, visiting and holidaying with her family.

I invited her over since they were very near my house and even though it was just a brief visit, but it was enough to embrace the warmth and kindlness from her and her family , just as she sounded in her blog.

I have a few photos of her as a remembrance of this special visit but I have to save the photo first because I seldom see her own photo i n her blog, and afraid that I might offend her if i put it in here.

Glad to have finally met you dear and hope we will meet agf ain, insyaAllah ada rezeki, I will drop by at your place , take care and keep those beautiful work and writing coming.

Lucky Hazif, to be surrounded by not one but three sisters who were incharge of his wedding. Haiza, one of the sisters called me wondering if i could make the cupcakes, she already had the tier and so all I need to do was make the carrot walnut cupackes with the lovebirds theme. She would send the tier over so that i could arrange the cupcakes on it and I got to meet with the other two sisters on that day. While discussing on these cupcakes, they looked through my cake albums,and decided on another cake, ( that is if I could make it since the pick up date is the next day! ) since it would be their niece's birthday, the daughter of the other sister whom I didn't get to meet that night.

They chose carrot walnut cake too with simple and minimal pink deco, with a touch of red roses fit for a 10 year old nana, bertuah juga lah Nana sama macam her uncle Hazif, dapat aunties ramai and baik baik belaka.

the night before leaving for Pahang

10th Dec 2011, so many events and functions set on this date, weddings, engagement, birthday, just to name a few,and on this date, we have to be in Pahang.
looks familiar? well, almost, cos it is almost the same to the one I made for my cousin's wedding last september. Actually, the groom wanted yellow and white deco just like the one I made for my other customer but her auntie fell in love with this colourful flower deco,so, guess who won! it was for a function on the 10th dec but the date co-incided with my hubby's aunt's son's wedding in Pahang and thus she had to pick this cake earlier than the intended date.the night before we left for Pahang, just like the two other orders.

after about one week, this was the sms that i received from her a couple of days ago:

"Salam. My nephew said d cake cantik n yummy.He's happy. Tq'

Alhamdulillah, I am so glad he did.Thank you Kak akma for trusting me with your nephew's cake. May his marriage be blessed and be as wonderful as he and his auntie are.

She texted me on the 8th morning, for her engagement ceremony on the 10th. i am afraid that was not possible unless she's willing to have them earlier and if she's willing to take the extra chocolate cupcakes that I made for a birthday order for I was unable to bake any more cakes because i was in the midst of decorating two other orders.it was not really a short notice, it's just that I wouldn't be here to do them. she agreed and thankfully she just wanted a simple deco with purple and white theme.it's such a small world, she's a friend to my friend's daughter whose wedding that we attended in teluk Intan and she's also a friend to my other customer.another thing, she's working in Pahang, exactly where we were going to the next morning, what a co-incidence.

At least, it was six days before the date, 10th dec, and again , I had to tell her to pick them up earlier for i wouldn't be here on that day and she agreed. chocolate cupcakes with Disney cartoon characters, last year it was Spongebob. Thank you Kak Rose.

when all three had collected their cakes, then only I started packing for we planned to leave very early the next morning.

Angry birds

I had made Chuggington bday cake, Ben 10 MCB , red velvet cake and many more for her and she , like my some other customers, had been such a pleasant customer, no fuss, no last minute order, gave me plenty or ample time to do my research , and this order was no exception. this time, she requested "Angry birds" theme birthday cake for her daughter. Interesting but overwhelming! i had been wanting to make them after hearing all the fuss about it. My daughter' s been playing the angry birds game on my iphone and ipad and yet i still had no clue what it was

I then googled on the net, drew some sketches, watched the game and movie trailers on youtube, just to get the 'feel' of these birds. what makes them angry and why, etc , etc.

made the first three birds, started with the red one, black and yellow, plus the blue little ones

catapult in the making , when the incredible hulk is angry, he turns green, but when these burds are angry, they catapulted themselves towards the green enemies

Ouch! that hurts, i hit the bricks and some of them fell on my head and i still couldn't get the eggs back...:-(

woke up yesterday morning and saw two messages, one was sent at 6 am, about half an hour ago and the other at 10 pm the previous night. I had an early night, waited for " From Russia with love', the James bond movie but I slept while Rocky III was playing, and hence I didn't read her message until that morning. she wanted MCB and chocolate chip cookies by this evening, after 5pm, that shouldn't be a problem. the other message,the lady wanted the usual, brownies with walnut, readily sliced and blueberry cheesetarts, by 11.30 am, the same morning. Alhamdulillah, all the ingredients were there, I was in, so shouldn't be a problem, and she's a regular, plus she wanted to treat her friends for their break fast that evening. Banyak pahalanya berpuasa on the 10th of Muharram. thank you dear sis for always supporting me.

Farah was in KL so her sister came to collect the MCB and the CCC, her sister would also be leaving for KL the next morning.since there were a few extras of BCT i gave her to taste them when she asked me what other goodies that i made, and in less than ten minutes i received a call from her, asking whether it was possible for me to bake another MCB and two boxes of blueberry cheesetarts, they were creamy she said......thank you dear for the nice words, so glad that you like it.

the other MCB was for another sister, from what i found out, all three sisters reside in KL and co-incidentally all three married a Kelantanese! all three! ....depa ni pakat ke...hehe.....

my sketch of the "Angry birds", saw them on the Net. Once I agreed to her order, immediately I googled, i knoww that my kids had been playing this game in my iphone but I just couldn't be bothered. I am not so keen on the games, i only know how to play 'Tetris' and a bit of " Solitaire".

the eggs, the centre of attraction, the reason for the birds to be so angry because they were stolen by the green piggies. I googled in youtube, watched the games, the short stories just to find out what the fuss was all about, what is this "angry birds' all about. why are they so angry, wwwhat makes them so furious, so now I know..........

Five angry, fuming, birds, Batrisyia told me, each one of these birds has its own specialty and unique characters, the red one was the main character but it does not have any special ability, and ...... to be continued...haha..... i don't really know actually, have to do more homework on them.
Actually I am waiting for the catapult to dry properly, before I put all the angry birds on the cake, this is just a seneak preview, my friend will collect this cake tomorrow afternoon.

OUCH! dah lah kena lastik, nak ambik telur, jatuh terhempap pulak dengan bata bata ni.....

on rainy days.....makes it even more special, lying on the sofa, together gether, with blankets covered and some titbits , popcorns on the coffee table, with lights dimmed, and you will be transported into the movies with lines like

S.W.A.L.K. I know some of you youngsters do not know what this means, you all know LOL, OMG, but this 'Sealed With A Loving Kiss' was used during my younger years, have I ever used it myself? I don't know, can't remember if i did. but i do write quite a lot letters and notes and messages, that is because we didn't have emails or handphones before. but i am still an old fashioned kind of gal, I prefer the old ways, the letters, the aerograms, the mails, not the e-mails, it is more personal that way.and more romantic too...

If you have seen this somewhere, that's because the design was chosen by my customer wwho requested me to do exactly the same, and the credit goes to the person who created this, I was just realising my customer's wwish .

Akad nikah was scheduled to be held after Asar, and this red and white cake must reach Teluk Intan before that. Teluk intan as in Perak, it's 12 noon, we were still in alor Star, can we make it on time?

we left home after 1 pm, and stopped at the Gurun R & R for a quick lunch, and while having my rice with chicken DRUMSTICK curry , why do i stressed on drumstick, because each one of us took drumstick, be it curry, fried or masak kicap........;-) ) I kept on glancing at my watch, tick tock tick tock, the clock is ticking

according to our Garmin GPS, expected arrival is 4.36 pm, and if there's no hiccup, we should have ample time before the function started. we took the Bidor exit and made our way to
the Hilir Perak IPD, where the bride to be and her family would be waiting for my cake, to fill the only empty tray ( dulang) as a gift for the groom.

upon reaching the house, the bride's sister came to take the cake and put it on the 'dulang'. Phew! Alhamdulillah wwe made it on time.

this 'lavender' cake ( the top tier is vanila wwith blueberry filling )

and the bottom tier ( chocolate with ganache ) are for tomorrow's function, the kenduri which would be held at the hall, not very far from their house.

peacock colourcake and cupcakes

The colour theme was blue, striking or electric blue, purple and green, basically peacock colour, a totally unfamiliar colour to me for i always go for soft pastel colour, but those were the colours requested.

fortunately she's happy with them, the blue was exactly the same colour as her dress, the one that she's going to wear for the ocassion. These cupcakes on tier is the continuation to the cake which I prepared earlier

this vanila cake was for her nephew's 10th birthday, although she's not here to celebrate it with him and the whole family for she's far away in chennai, India ( just like the celebration for the other newphew ) but she took the trouble to order this cake and requested me to deliver it on her behalf.

This is the beauty of doing this, i get to meet people, new people ( well, sometimes i don't even meet them in person, only in cyber space and they get to taste my cakes and sometimes they don't , because sometimes they are ordering these cakes not for themselves but for their loved ones, the special people in their lives or perhaps the intended special person, and I am glad that i am the one to connect these people.

He is in KL and wanted me to deliver this rainbow cake to KL too and could I do it? Of course I did and still do, I find the means, to try to fulfil other people's dreams and wishes and i too get connected with special people who make it possible for me to do this

there's a small cake inside the miniature cake which I had forgotten the flavour and also another cake inside the small gift box, which i had also forgotten its flavour:-)the teddy? no, ther's no cake inside teddy.......

can't resist one last time to snap a picture of this cake before I close the box:-(

sealed it and made a window on top of the box so that the person carrying this box will know that there's a special and fragile package inside, to be handled with the greatest care

and they had done a good job of it when I found out from Ikram that he received this cake in good condition.Teddy, thre mini cake and the gift box , with the rainbow cake arrived safely to its destination .

shee saw the turqoise and orange deco cake which I made for Amal recently and she likes it and so she decided to use the same design and colour as the one previously made for my other customer, the one noticeable difference is the writing on the cake. , underneath the turqoise and orange rolled roses and two bees ( odd colours for bees...hehe ) is a rainbow cake,

i thought chinese new year had long gone but what are these rabbits doing here? not just one or two, but.....

forty of them, peeking through the rumput on red velvet cupcakes, these forty rabbit heads had its mystery wwhich will remain a mystery .........jangan biarkan diri anda diselubungi.......misteri....... the machine/ mixer is running, the oven is on with vanilla cake inside and the other has just been turned on, as I am writing this, I can't even find a proper five minute to sit down and write or ramble on my laptop as i'd like to do and so i would 'steal ' thet ime here and there to load the current photos as I haver quite a few backlog....back to my mixer, be right back....

while the K beater is mixing the eggs or incorporating the eggs into the butter and sugar mixture, my head is spinning too, trying to think of the deco for the vanila cake and the two chocolate cakes that I am making now, plus, it's already 12 noon and i am still trying to figure out what to cook for lunch.....

smell that...the lovely vanila smell is lingering in the kitchen , time to check my vanila cake, the oven is just behind me, so no need to walk very far, but come to think of it, with the cakes and brownies that i am making, i think i could easily have walked miles in my little kitchen!

other nephew.

my old schoolmate , who is on the way to Langkawi and who ordered the 40 containers of cupcakes and brownies just make a quick stop here, it's good to see an old friend whom i have not met since, close to thirty years ago.....wow! i am old! and yet I am still listening to Marc Anthony singing "Rain over me", there's something about him and his voice that is addictive..... and sexy......., just like the song, 'My baby You'........

Since the elder sister's cake was pink, so she decided that the younger sister's cake should be yellow, so yellow it is. At first, she just wanted chocolate cake since it was going to be just a small celebration , but it turned out that more family members would be joining and therefore she decided to order another cake and chose the same flavour as the one she ordered for the elder daughter earlier, ie orange cake and so I layered the orange cake on top of the chocolate cake and hence making it taller than usual.

whoa! hello and welcome back everyone, who has been visiting my 'kitchen'. where have I been? it's been close to one month since I last updated my blog. I came across terms like" dah bersawwang" blog whenever a blogger had left it too long and should i say the same about my blog? just figure of speech i suppose.

so many reasons , so many excuses, internet slow, internet dowwn, yeah yeah, blame it on the IT.PMR is over, raya Haji just over, been baking, been decorating, been going to KL for a class in figurine, that was fun, been to a Srikandi dinner and gathering, been staying the night an old schoolfriend's house for a couple of days and enjoying her beautiful home and hospitality, been lying low or trying to because of my arm, yes, come to think of it, that was the reason why i had been away from writing. I hurt my hand/arm and it is still hurting and it made doing things less fun anymore because it was quite painful. I can type on the keyboard alright but when it comes to heavy work, it hurts.but life goes on......kids to send to school, laundry to do, house to look after, meals to prepare, cakes and cookies and brownies to make and decorate...

I am rambling, aren't I? It's just that i have missed wwriting so much, felt good to let go of the wwords and alphabets that's been jumbling in my head, so much thought, so much , so much.....it gives me a headache! I am experiencing one right now, it's throbbing and just made me want to lie down , wishful thinking, with all the things to do, you gotta be kidding me!

As I'm writing this, the rainbow cake with soft colourful pastel colour deco is on its way to KL via the express bus, hopefully it will reach its destination safely, with the Teddy, mini cake and mini gift sitting on top of the fondant covered rainbow cake , and reached its owner in good condition and will make someone with names starting with I and N very happy.

ok, that rather "short notice" order is out of the way and I should be on my way to my kitchen as we speak to get the three tiered marble cheese brownies started. yup, you heard that right! marble cheese brownies on tiers, not just one but three.

I have 1001 things to do, it's going almost haywire up there, thinking and organising and reorganising on what to do first, and I decided that what i wanted to do first is updating my blog! only this time, this entry will be photoless for I have trouble with my other laptop. Worry not, those photos will be loaded as soon as i have cleared all the outstanding things unticked in my "To do "list.

feel like making bihun goreng this morning, so i am going dowen to my kitchen and will get started on the 1001 things to do, hopefully, at elast a few will get doen today, insyaAllah.

I was in the middle of cleaning the crabs for the Spicy and SOur Crab dish that I planned to cook for lunch when suddenly she apppeared in my kitchen.

She had called many times but did not receive any reply from me, something was definitely wrong with my phone that day for heard nothing, no ringing tone, no SMS tones, I couldn't call or text out and that prompted her to come over, to order these two for that evening!

So, in between cooking, I started melting the butter for the BWW first and once it was in the oven, I started with the MCB and fortunately they were ready on time. thank you Azira for always remembering me and for your continuous support.

as a gift to a Prof in one of the local Uni here in Alor Star, from a lady in KL, not just any lady, my good friend, not just any friend, my secondary school friend,

I was interrupted by a ringing tone from my Nokia phone
"Abah lalu "Hj. Ramli", nak tak?"
bagaikan orang mengantuk disorongkan bantal..........it's a big YES or just a simple answer from me, " cantik sekali!"......
message understood and he hung up the phone.
okay, that's lunch settled for today, all I have to do next is finishing this entry, and later pick up the kids from schools, not just one kid but three kids and not just one school, but from three different schools.

How I wish I could just change things to the way they were when I was schooling. No abah or Umi sending or picking me up from school because school was only a five minutes walk away from home, thus, no shouting in the morning, " hurry up! it's already 7 am!". In fact we, my Abah( who's one of the teachers in my school ), Umi and I , my eldest brother and sister were already up and about by then, and already were in our neighbour's house called Mek Hawa who sold the nasi berlauk in the morning.That's breakfast taken care of and Umi sometimes made nasi goreng for me to bring to school.Even if she did not have time to make them in the morning, worry not, for she can always send them to me or rather hand it over to me via the fence behind our house because the school is ......just right there........

maybe I would like to change the 'transportation ' area but maybe not the 'bathing' area. there was one major difference, kids today or rather mums today , okay, me in particular, do not need to boil water in the morning for the kids' bath for they only need to turn on the hot water switch and the hot or warm water just whoosh out of the tap
that was my primary school experience but things were totally different when I was in my secondary school, because I was away, far, far away from home, for five , long but beautiful years, and yet, the sending of food did not stop there, it still continued but not over the fence, this time via registered parcel which contained not nasi goreng but rather packages of serunding daging or ikan bilis

This lady, who requested for this 'hamper' share the same long but wonderful five years with me in the same school, shared the same nasi kawah, air sirap biji selasih during the fasting month, shared the same sky when we watched the movies on the netball court, and shared the same bus going back to our home town during the school holidays, we were only to be separated after our SPM exam where we went separate ways but after many many years, our paths crossed again

Walking......
We used to walk side by side, to and from our house to the shopping complex ( perhaps, about fifteen minutes walk )which was situated in a building near the Teluk Wanjah roundabout ( but now no more ), no more walking and no more shopping complex there )we were young then ( late twenties is considered young, right?....) , full of energy, vibrant, happy go lucky, newly wed, just the two of us,

Walking that distance was nothing to us ( then ), in fact we kinda enjoyed it ( try asking us to do it now, we would be breathless.....not breathless as in Richard Gere and ? )

Take my breath away....from Top gun, love the song, not so much the movie, on second thought, the movie's okay because of Iceman, Tom Cruise is okay but not his fan, I prefer, what's his name, in the movie Transformer, that soldier, married to Fergie.......small matter, not important......

"I've got this for you too, Happy birthday!", 'Rainbow' CD, two surprises in one night! Well, the first one was not really a surprise but the second one was. i didn't listen to it straight away, but when I did, the first song that i searched for was "Can't Let you go" ....the sound system was gooooood. I listened to it on my my way back from picking my kids from school and when we reached home, I stayed a few minutes longer, to enjoy the song.

Finally got this number. what's so significant about 225? Why not 525 or 522 or 123 or whatever?We had 525 before, the closest we could get to 225, we did not have it for long because someone else liked it too.no, they were not after the number. Seven seaters. equipped with LCD screen for watching videos, good sound system and in tip top condition. Who wouldn't?? we let it go and got ourselves a 6100 and it stayed with us for many many years until recently,, we had to let it go, sob sob ( with heavy hearts ) to make way for this 225

225 is our seventh, we have had several models from Malaysian made to Japanese models, from Italian to Germany, and the latest edition is another make from Hitler's country., just like my 'dream' car.... but , this might not be my 'dream' car but it sure is 'dreamy' sitting in it, driving it, overtaking others effortlessly .........puurrr.....

we had ( and still do ) this black ,masculine piece of metal when we had our second child, fourteen years ago, we both love it so dearly and many a times we thought of letting it go, ( when the going gets tough )but we just couldn't.So much memories, not to mention , it's gorgeous ( love the tear drop shaped design on the reams ) and when it is on the road, it roars!when you are behind the wheel, all you want to do is to keep on pushing the accelerator, and pushed the metre needle close to the end ( but I never do that, the highest i did was 160 I think ). how masculine and rugged it is , the very opposite to the new 225 which purrs on the road, very gentle and feminine, yet as fast and furious as you want it to go

They came and went, but they were not here when we first got married, in fact we did not have any mode of transport, when we got married, we did not even own a two wheels vehicle ( basikal lah tu ), let alone, a car. Both our work place were just within walking distance, come to think of it, I can't remember how we managed then, takkan duk dalam rumah je kot? But after a while we got ourselves a motorbike, nothing fancy , just the simple bike, which could take us back to kampung ( his kampung only ), can't imagine riding on a motobike all the way along the Timur barat high way on a botorbike ( to go back to my kampung ) , kalau Harley tu boleh tahan lagi...kot......

I was pregnant with my first child and we were still riding that bike but not until I was in my third and final trimester , that we decided to own a more comfortable mode of transport ( agaknya my other half kesian tengok wife dia yang 'very the huge' ni )i was really 'big' when I was carrying my first child, ( she came out 3.4 kg , no wonder I was so huge!! for a small and petite person like me) it's a wonder that I did not need a C section giving birth to her.

From that day, until today, this is our seventh , dunno if it will be the last, or, maybe not, from grey to another grey, then black came into our life, followed by cream, and bluish grey, replaced with yet another black, and now, that black is replaced with yet another to grey....ish......

I believe a big 'Thank you' is in order, eventhough it is two months and nine days late from 22nd 5(May ).,...........................and signing off, with a smile........

tomyam udang ( originally it was chicken tomyam ). I was going ot heat up the gravy ( cos my son loves tomyam ) when my daughter asked me, "mama, are you going to add anything else in it?" and why not? i had some prawns in the freezer, took them out, thawed them for a while and when the gravy boiled, just threw in the prawns ( cleaned of course ) and I had a new dish.....

there you go, a very simple menu for our first bersahur.....mula2 ni bersemangat, lepas ni tak tahu lagi sahur makan apa......-:)InsyaAllah sahur or not, puasa tetap puasa....

She ordered macaroni au gratin with meat and seafood the last couple of days, and less than a week she ordered again, but this time with an additional smaller portion, to subtitute the meat with chicken instead.

made small muffins from the banana leftovers, this time instead of using chocolate chip , I used cooking chocolate ( grated into the banana muffin mixture)
banana walnut vs carrot walnut, both best served with cream cheese frosting. which will win? Both !cos they are both equally delicious in their own ways!!

unexpectedly busy night

six mini brownies in beautifully decorated transparent boxes. I thought I had the whole day and night to complete these , made the daisies one day ahead to enable the flowers to dry,to bake and deco at nite and should be ready when they were supposed to picked up at 7.30am , and I could conduct my class as planned.

that was my plan for that date, until I received a call requesting for the 'blue and white' and wedding cake,

oh oh... i was going to conduct a class for three, the following day, i was planning to cook two dishes for lunch for that day, can I do it?

Whether I could or could not do it, I had to do it, for I had already said 'yes' dalam 'mamai', i was sleeping when I got the call and i had agreed to make it, and now I had to keep my words, plus i couldn't disappoint hubby's friend and his cousin could I ? I had to really plan and manage my time properly with the additional task. I already had to bake one brownies and to cut into six, and decorate them with daisies ( which I had prepared earlier ) I could only tie the ribbons and decorate them with the crystal flowers when everything was done., at the same time, i had to bake one big cake, double the ingredients and to decorate it in blue and white theme, since I was short of time, i decided to use the extra daisies for the decoration.

2 kg plus plus , 12 x 12 inches chocolate cake with ganache filling and covered with blue buttercream and decorated with white daisies
I managed to bake the cake at night and while leaving it to cool, made the ganache and the fresh buttercream for it. I had to leave the deco for my brownies box aside to deco this cake first. I decided to cover it in blue buttercream first and to finish decorating it the following day because it was already 3 am and i had not even started with the boxes yet. I finally managed to complete them, all six by 5 am.( the scheduled pick up time was at 7.30am ) I had to get at least two hours of sleep so that i would not fall asleep during the session the next day!

Thhis cake was collected at 1 pm as per schedule. I completed the full deco, just before my class started. phew! Thank you Budin and selamat Pengantin baru Ina and partner

What's the story behind these two? I received the call the nite that I was making the 12 x 12 chocolate cake and while my head was thinking of how to decorate the six transparent boxes , and thus I had to put them on hold for a while and started making and baking the chocolate cake and the marble cheese brownies
Scheduled pick up time was also 1 pm and therefore I had both of them ready by night, The only thing incomplete were the names of the birthday people

wrote the names just before they were picked up .

aahhh, there it is, my signature dish, ayam masak minagkabau, pagi ni sempat masak satu lauk je because last night was pretty tight.

when Sue first asked for this date, july 23rd, my schedule was free, and so i agreed. I then got one order for six boxes of mini brownies with daisies to be collected early morning and I thought i could do them without jeopardising my class.

however, the previous nights i received a call from hubby's friend who is also my customer, requesting for a wedding cake, to be collected by noon on this particular day, I had to say 'yes' if not, the bride would have no cake on her akad nikah day. as I was making the cakes and brownies and trying to decorate the boxes for the six brownies, i received another call, my regular customer, requesting for a cake and a marble cheese brownies for birthdays. I just couldn't say 'no' but all these 'yes'es only allowed me two hours of sleep before my scheduled class the following day, and hence i only had time to cook one dish.

However, despite the unexpectedly busy night with last minute orders, I managed to not fall asleep during the class, thanks to my lively and jovial students who made the class fun and entertaining. Alhamdulillah, the class went on smoothly, no ice breaking session needed , as we all know one another very well.

Pasta oh pasta!

first time, I made all three types of pasta dishes in one day,

Athira ordered this one big macaroni au gratin for makan2 at her kedai, thank you Athira.

A friend who happens to know that I was making the macaroni, requested me to make a smaller portion for her, thank you dear Balkis

SSince there was some minced meat left and I had some meat balls in the freezer, I thought why didn't I make spaghetti sauce with it. Plus, there was also some white sauce left fom the macaronii au gratin, I thought, hey I could also make lasagna, since I was already making the spaghetti sauce, and I also had the white sauce, just layer them with pasta for lasagna, I could make one for Ameer who had been asking me for lasagna for ages. I made sure to boil extra spaghetti for Batrisyia because she likes to eat it plain, on its own, without the sauce

I also made one small portion of macaroni au gratin for my kids,so yesterday afternoon, had spaghetti bolognese for lunch, and they had the lasagna for dinner, and that left the macaroni still untouched, could save it for later, just leave it the freezer, and whenever we feel like having it, just bring it out, thaw it, and bake it.
